The Social
A traditional all-timber hot tub with its own wood-fired heater, with room for six around the fire.
Final package pricing to confirm
The Social is the traditional wood-fired tub, sized for company. It’s built entirely from timber, almost a metre deep, with wooden benches fixed around the wall and a stainless steel heater that warms the water directly. At 1.9 metres across, there is room for six to settle in together without anyone feeling crowded. Light the fire, let the water come slowly to warmth, and let the evening stretch out. A place to gather, unhurried.
Nothing is final. James confirms the product, access, base and specification before any money changes hands.
Made for real life
Why the Social?
Warmth from a real fire
The wood burner sits inside the tub itself, heating the water directly. Lighting it becomes part of the ritual: a slower, more grounded way to unwind.
Timber, through and through
Solid timber from floor to rim, with no shell or lining. The hot tub in its simplest, most traditional form.
Room for everyone
At 1.9 metres across, with wooden benches around the wall, it seats six comfortably. Made for long evenings with family and friends.
Simpler to own
No jets and no lighting, so there is little to service and little to go wrong. Wood, water and fire, and an evening to enjoy them.

James's take
This is the size most families end up choosing. There’s room for everyone without it taking over the garden, and it’s the same simple, wood-fired tub as the Compact. If you can picture friends round on a Saturday night, this is the one.

Good to know
Questions people ask
The things worth knowing before you decide. Anything else, James is happy to talk through.
Does it need electricity?
The heater is wood-fired, so the water needs no electrical supply to heat. The sand filter does need power to run its pump. James confirms exactly what your supply needs to be at the site review, so there are no surprises later.
How long does it take to heat up?
Heat-up time depends on the starting water temperature, the outside conditions and how hard you run the fire. The integrated heater is quicker than an external one because it sits in the water. We will give you a realistic figure for your setup rather than a best-case one.
What base does it need?
It needs a level, load-bearing base. Filled with water and people, the tub weighs far more than its 315kg dry weight, so this is not something to improvise. James confirms the exact requirement at the free site review, before any quote.
Will it fit through to my garden?
It can arrive fully assembled or as a kit to be built in your garden. Assembled, it is around two metres across, so the route has to take that width — gateways, side passages, corners, steps and anything overhead. James checks the route at the site review and advises which suits your garden before anything is ordered.
What warranty does it come with?
Warranty terms are confirmed in writing alongside the exact specification you choose, so you know what is covered before you commit to anything.
