The Stave is the sauna in its most classic form: a Nordic spruce barrel, its rounded shape holding the warmth close. Windows in the front and back walls let the daylight through, so the garden stays with you while you sit in the heat. An 8kW Harvia Vega heater brings the room up to temperature at the touch of a button, and soft LED lighting traces the roofline after dark. It arrives assembled or as a compact kit, with room for two to four. A small, quiet place, made for unhurried evenings.

Nothing is final. James confirms the product, access, base and specification before any money changes hands.

James's take

If you’re picturing a sauna, this is probably what you see: the classic barrel. It’s compact, it heats efficiently, and with windows at both ends it never feels closed in. It’s a lovely place to start, and it fits gardens the bigger saunas can’t.

Good to know

Questions people ask

The things worth knowing before you decide. Anything else, James is happy to talk through.

Does it need electricity?

Yes. The 8kW Harvia heater and the LED lighting are hard-wired to a dedicated circuit by a qualified electrician. It does not plug into a household socket. James checks your supply at the site review and confirms exactly what is needed, so there are no surprises later.

How long does it take to heat up?

Heat-up time depends on the heater, the outside temperature and how warm you like it; most people enjoy a sauna at around 80–90°C. We will give you a realistic figure for your setup rather than a best-case one.

What base does it need?

It needs a level, waterproofed concrete base built to the manufacturer's drawings. This matters: the base keeps the doors and windows true, and it is a condition of the warranty. James confirms the exact requirement at the free site review, before any quote.

Will it fit through to my garden?

It can arrive fully assembled, at 2.5 metres long, 2.4 metres wide and 2.5 metres high, or as a complete kit on a pallet 1.2 metres wide that two people can build in around eight hours. James checks the route at the site review and advises which suits your garden before anything is ordered.

What warranty does it come with?

Warranty terms are confirmed in writing alongside the exact specification you choose, so you know what is covered before you commit to anything.
