The Stave is the sauna in its most classic form: a Nordic spruce barrel, its rounded shape holding the warmth close. Windows in the front and back walls let the daylight through, so the garden stays with you while you sit in the heat. A Harvia M3 wood-burning stove warms the room the traditional way, and soft LED lighting traces the roofline after dark. It arrives assembled or as a compact kit, with room for two to four. Light the fire, and let the evening slow down.

Nothing is final. James confirms the product, access, base and specification before any money changes hands.

Made for real life

Why the Stave - Wood Fired?

01

The classic barrel

Its rounded shape means there is less space to heat, and the warmth wraps gently around you. The sauna in its most traditional form.

02

Light from both ends

Windows in the front and back walls let the daylight through, so the garden is never far away.

03

The warmth of a real fire

A Harvia M3 wood-burning stove heats the room the traditional way. Lighting it becomes part of the ritual: the crackle, the scent of wood, a slower kind of evening.

04

Easy to place

Delivered assembled, or as a compact kit that reaches gardens a built sauna can't. A natural first sauna for a smaller space.

James's take

This is the classic: a timber barrel with a wood-burning stove. It’s compact and heats efficiently, and lighting the fire is half the pleasure. If you want the traditional experience in a smaller garden, this is where I’d start.

Good to know

Questions people ask

The things worth knowing before you decide. Anything else, James is happy to talk through.

Does it need electricity?

The heater is wood-burning, so the sauna needs no electricity to heat. The LED lighting does need power, and is hard-wired by a qualified electrician. James confirms exactly what is needed at the site review, so there are no surprises later.

How long does it take to heat up?

Heat-up time depends on the wood, the outside temperature and how warm you like it; most people enjoy a sauna at around 80–90°C. We will give you a realistic figure for your setup rather than a best-case one.

What base does it need?

It needs a level, waterproofed concrete base built to the manufacturer's drawings. This matters: the base keeps the doors and windows true, and it is a condition of the warranty. James confirms the exact requirement at the free site review, before any quote.

Will it fit through to my garden?

It can arrive fully assembled, at 2.5 metres long, 2.4 metres wide and 2.5 metres high, or as a complete kit on a pallet 1.2 metres wide that two people can build in around eight hours. James checks the route at the site review and advises which suits your garden before anything is ordered.

What warranty does it come with?

Warranty terms are confirmed in writing alongside the exact specification you choose, so you know what is covered before you commit to anything.
