Both reach the same temperature. The difference is what you do in the twenty minutes beforehand.

Choose Electric if...

For anyone whose evenings don't run to a plan. Switch it on, get on with what you were doing, and the sauna is ready when you are — no fetching, no lighting, nothing to clear away afterwards.

It suits regular use more than occasional use. When getting in takes no preparation, you find you get in more often.

Choose Wood-Fired if...

For anyone who finds the fire is part of it. Lighting the stove, waiting for the heat to build, the sound and smell of it — that's a slower start, and for many people the better half of the experience.

No electrical supply to arrange, which can matter a great deal at the end of a garden. Somewhere dry to keep logs, and the chimney comes as standard.
